Florida RB Jordan Scarlett taunts LSU on Twitter after homecoming game announcement
On social media, Florida never misses a chance to remind LSU of the Gators’ 16-10 win over the Tigers on Nov. 19.
When LSU was forced to cancel its spring game due to weather, the Florida football team’s Twitter account had a hilarious response. When the Gators and Tigers met in the College World Series final last month, the same account shared a video of the goal-line stand when talking about a game of inches. When UF announced that LSU would serve as Florida’s homecoming opponent this fall, it got both fanbases’ attention.
Gators RB Jordan Scarlett addressed the chatter on Twitter, sharing a video of Florida players singing “I’m From Louisiana” in the locker room after their win in Tiger Stadium. Scarlett was a key to the Gator victory last season, rushing for 108 yards against LSU’s stingy defense.

The tweets from Florida’s official account and players like Scarlett have undoubtedly intensified the rivalry.
Maybe now everybody won't look at me like I'm crazy when I say that LSU's biggest ? rival is the Florida Gators. 10/7/17 will be ???.

We shall see who’s doing the talking after Oct. 7.
