Keith Stone may have left Florida but he hasn’t left the state.

The former Gator announced Monday evening that he plans on finishing his collegiate career closer to home and will play for the Miami Hurricanes next season. Stone played three seasons for the Gators and is currently set to be a graduate transfer.

Stone’s Gator career was cut short last season after tearing his ACL. Prior to his junior season in Gainesville, Stone had appeared in every game for the Gators during his freshman and sophomore campaigns. His final appearance for the Gators came against Georgia back on Jan. 19, when he suffered his ACL injury.

Stone averaged 6.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists last season for the Gators. Stone is originally from Deerfield Beach, Fla.
