Credit Florida’s staff for continuing to add to the 2018 recruiting cycle prior to heading into fall camp as the program officially announced the addition of former junior college tight end Lucas Krull on Wednesday.

A former college baseball player, Krull enrolls in Gainesville as a redshirt sophomore and will be eligible to play immediately for the Gators. According to 247Sports, he is a four-star prospect and the No. 4 overall junior college prospect in the nation for the 2018 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-7, 255-pound Krull is an intriguing prospect that could fit into Dan Mullen’s offensive system in a number of various ways. Krull has not played football since the 2015 season, where he registered 52 receptions for 745 yards and 13 touchdowns for Mill Valley of Shawnee, Kan.
