Florida is about to start the 2019 college football season by facing off against in-state rival Miami but will do so without the services of four players.

Just prior to kickoff, Florida has announced the suspensions of sophomore defensive back Pat Moorer, junior defensive lineman TJ Slaton, junior defensive back Brad Stewart and junior receiver Rick Wells. All the suspension were for “failure to live up to the Gator standard,” according to the team.

Dan Mullen would not indicate that any players were suspended during his Monday press conference and noted that if there were suspensions, they would be announced leading up to kickoff.
