Jarrad Davis signs new deal returning to former NFL team, reuniting with ex-UF teammate
Jarrad Davis is heading back to his old NFL team and will get to play alongside a former Florida teammate.
The Detroit Lions announced Friday that they have signed Davis. Detroit selected Davis with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He played his first 4 seasons with the Lions before signing with the New York Jets ahead of the 2021 NFL season.
The Lions’ PR staff highlighted that Davis’ return to the Motor City reunites him with fellow former Florida linebacker Alex Anzalone, who signed with Detroit in 2021 after 4 seasons with the New Orleans Saints. Anzalone re-signed with the Lions earlier this month.
