Steve Spurrier-Florida Field will look a little different for Saturday’s Florida vs. Missouri game.

Twitter user @NaturalWorks_ shared a photo showing that the end zones have been painted orange. The team did not make any official announcement about the change to the end zones, but the tweet with the photo has been quote-tweeted by athletic director Scott Stricklin, which validates the photo’s authenticity.

Tickets issued to season-ticket holders had indicated that the Gators would wear white helmets against Missouri, but the team’s official Twitter account revealed that the traditional orange helmets will be worn Saturday. It’s unclear if there is any connection between the orange helmets and orange end zones. It’s also unclear if the orange end zones are here to stay or simply part of homecoming.
