After a few appearances with the New York Mets this spring training, former Florida QB Tim Tebow has now been assigned to the team where he’ll likely spend most of the 2017 season.

Tebow will play for the Columbia Fireflies, the Mets’ single A affiliate. Other minor-league teams are undoubtedly excited for when the Fireflies visit, as it will give them a chance to draw bigger crowds than normal.

One team, the Greenville Drive, took the opportunity to troll Tebow, announcing on Twitter that if Tebow strikes out three times in Greenville, all fans will receive a free Whopper from Burger King:

All joking from opponents aside, though, Tebow will be the best thing ever to happen to the South Atlantic League.

Having the popular former Gator in the league will increase attendance in a big way, and all free burgers aside, will be a huge boost for minor league baseball.
