NBA free agency began on Sunday night, and already, more than $1.5 billion in guarantees have been handed out to players.

One of the players to land a huge payday was former Florida big man Al Horford, who helped lead the Gators to the 2006 and 2007 titles.

Now, he’ll try to win an NBA title, as he will be leaving the Boston Celtics and joining the Philadelphia 76ers on a massive 4-year, $109 million contract:

The Sixers become a serious NBA championship contender with this move, as Horford will join a team with former LSU star Ben Simmons, big man Joel Embiid and Tennessee legend Tobias Harris.

Will it be enough to push the Sixers over the edge and bring a title to Philly? We’ll have to see what else happens during this crazy free agency period.
