Social media reacts to Florida's 'extraordinary' upset of LSU in The Swamp
There was plenty of excitement in The Swamp Saturday night as Florida pulled off a 27-19 win over LSU.
Florida first pulled ahead late in the first half with a Moral Stephens touchdown catch as the Gators led 14-10. Then, after LSU came back and took the lead again, Florida’s Lamical Perine scored on a two-yard run with 8:48 remaining for a 20-19 lead.
An interception by Brad Stewart of Joe Burrow, the LSU quarterback’s first of the season, iced the game.
Feleipe Franks then ran a nine-play drive that drained 3:53 off the clock. A long punt flipped the field and LSU got the ball with about two minutes remaining from its own 12-yard line that setup the dramatic Stewart pick six.
On a day when Tim Tebow became the sixth member of the Florida Ring of Honor, there was plenty for the Gators to celebrate.
Here’s a sampling of the immediate reaction on social media:
What an extraordinary victory by Florida. The difference Dan Mullen has made here is breathtaking.

This LSU/Florida series is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Feels like a brawl each and every year.
Monster win by Florida, Mullen continues to prove he's going to have a blast in Gainesville.

If it wasn’t settled already, #Gators make another statement that the University of Florida is the real DBU.

Great W for Florida and Franks made an impact as did D/CTodd Grantham with his pressure off the edge. Joe Burrow had two tremendous passes dropped in the last drive and made his first turnovers but a hell of a game. @LSUfootball won’t drop fat, and @GatorsFB jettisons. Some game.

My perspective is only from working at Florida from 2010-13, but I've NEVER heard it this loud in The Swamp. This place is rocking, good gravy.

A New Orleans kid with a pick-six ices it for Gators

New Orleans native Brad Stewart puts this game away with a pick-six. Swamp is deafening.

Louisiana boy Brad Stewart with the dagger!
