Teradja Mitchell is heading south to complete his college football career. The Ohio State transfer linebacker announced his commitment to Florida on Monday.

Mitchell shared the news on his Twitter account.

Mitchell heads to Florida for a redo of his super senior season. He played in 39 games over his first 4 seasons with the Buckeyes (2018-to-2021). Mitchell used his extra COVID year to return in 2022, but missed time due to injury and only played in 4 games, allowing him to take a redshirt.

Mitchell played in 12 games for OSU in 2021, making 8 starts as a team co-captain. He was sixth on the team in tackles with 45, including 4.5 for loss. For his career, Mitchell has 63 tackles, including 7 for loss, and a pass breakup.

Listed at 6-2, 239, Mitchell is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mitchell is Florida’s third defensive addition through the transfer portal for the 2023 squad, joining Louisville DL Caleb Banks and Memphis DL Cam’Ron Jackson.
