Tommy Kinsler, 6-6 330-pound OL out of Florida, announces SEC commitment
Tommy Kinsler, a mammoth offensive line recruit out of Ocala, Florida (Trinity Catholic), has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.
Kinsler has said he’ll play for the Florida Gators, as he has a reported 19 offers, and was recruited to Florida by Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton. Kinsler, a 3-star recruit, is the No. 85 offensive tackle recruit in the class of 2023, and the No. 138 player in the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite. Kinsler has said he recently visited Rutgers, and plans to visit Miami later this month.
“I got to talk to the coaches, see how they work, see how their personality is and got to spend time with the players and got to know how they are,” Kinsler told Swamp247. “I had a great time. My family had a great time, too. That was the highlight of the trip: the people. I got to open my mind to see if I wanted to come here and get developed more. It did open my mind because I committed.”
Kinsler also shared his impressions of Sale and Stapleton.
“They are both cool guys and from talking to them, they both know what they are doing,” he said. “That is something I want to be a part of is someone I am comfortable with. They both told me they are going to be recruiting me hard. I liked both of them. They just said a lot to me and they made me feel real comfortable and I like the things they were saying to me.”
Here are his highlights from Hudl:
Big, but Georgia has bigger and 5 stars. LOL
PS. Better flip to Georgia or enjoy your college memories LOL!!!
Negan
Listen 8 hours apart and I’m the first and as far as I see the ONLY person to post on this GATOR THREAD!!!! I was kinda teasing earlier. But this ain’t exactly what I call excitement!!!
PS. What’s going on in gator land????? Don’t tell me Biden just committed to Florida!!!! Good luck with his development!!! LOL
Negan
correct, NOBODY on this site is excited to engage with you!
Gatorbooboo……..
” correct, NOBODY on this site is excited to engage with you!”
Sorry, but I was referring to the fact this article was up OVER 8 HOURS with absolutely nobody other than myself posting!!!

Dude you are a 50
Plus year old man up at 3 am trolling a rivals page .. man it is not even funny any more just plain sad. You really need to get a life negan. As much as I enjoy uf athletics Florida sports is not the center of my life as it seems uga sports are to you
the fact that you are trolling a rival page for comments at 3:30 in the morning pretty much tells us everything we need to know about you.
I’m a gator fan. The gators are not my life.
Yet with you we seem to have someone who only has Georgie football and nothing else.
So I’ll give this one to you (you obviously need it). The bulldogs program is in a much better place than the gators program right now.
Pretty much sums it up, UFgatorfan. I think, however, that you’re being rational with an emotionally crippled irrational person and expecting it to penetrate. He just wants attention, the quality of that attention making no difference to him.
That said, good coaches select under-rated prospects all the time when they see something they can develop. Sometimes it works out in spades (ie, Kyle Trask), and sometimes it doesn’t. I can think of quite a few 5-Stars who were in the latter category too, but the overall concept of star rankings is that they’re an estimate of future potential more than anything else. Dabo Swinney built some pretty good teams by using his own estimates as well, so we’ll wait and see if CBN has that knack too.
Good post.
Georgia of course is in a better place. They won a chip, and we fired our coach…as Negan eloquently alludes to on a now around the clock basis..
I don’t mind the ribbing and knew it was coming with this one…possibly from some in our base. We simply have to show improvement, and this staff’s resolve should pay dividends after what we hope to be a positive season.
First let me say…good posts.
Secondly, regarding the comment “but the overall concept of star rankings is that they’re an estimate of future potential more than anything else”…I disagree. The star rankings of high school athletes display early athletic maturity versus later athletic maturity.
Now to the ribbing part, the one thing this kid has that can’t be taught is true SEC size. Obviously, the stars (lack of in this case) reveals why he chose Florida (rib, extra bar b q sauce), but also reveals that he clearly hasn’t matured yet from an athletic talent standpoint. This kid may be a gem in the rough with great things ahead, or simply may just live up to his current mmmm rankings, time will tell. He’s in better hands with Billy than he would be at Rutgers…nice pickup I think
LOL….it’s all in the sauce Legs.
Hey man…it is what it is. Much like CDM following the Shark man…he had to show and prove first before the bigger recruits look our way. I am hoping for a better return this time around as CDM was more “talk,” while my man Billy seemed to go into “action”. Hopefully, he can have a similarly solid first year and build upon that.
Disagree with your disagreement of my disagreeing statement about the disagreeable star rating system, Leghumper.
Now that we’ve established that, talk amongst yourselves. I’m verclempt.
Spot on, G8tr…..CDM didn’t leave an “attractive” program for many prospects, but a good showing this fall and a Top-10 class for ’23 ought to right the boat. It all starts with Utah in 74 days.
“It’s 3:38 AM and my first post was 8 hours ago!!!”
This sums up the Neganphile in one sentence. Loser with a capital L.
3 STAR RECRUITING MACHINE
So now that I beat the Georgia Morons and got that out of the way, this guy is massive and could be developed to be a road grader. Good thing we have 2 OL coaches that know what they’re doing
Dang, you rolled out of the sack before 10:00am/ET, on Monday! That has to be a personal hest.
What happened, did you blow through all your crack on Saturday?
Uncle TDOW
I think he got up early to join in the local juneteenth celebrations…
I don’t work for the post office, banks, or any government agency so I was not able to stay home and enjoy the new federal holiday. I know you did and that is awesome, hope you had a great time
If he did….kudos.
Cojones take that up with your pimp
I’ll refrain from posting “#3StarRecruitingMachine”
Just the sheer volume of repeated, applicable postings of “#3StarRecruitingMachine” gets tiresome.
Plus posting “3StarRecruitingMachine” for a UF commitment isn’t exactly Earth shattering, in-depth analysis and commentary. I mean, I could teach a drunk chimp to auto-reply “3StarRecruitingMachine” to every UF commitment article and the drunk chimp would be batting over .500
Newsflash Moron, no one cares what you think, what you post or refrain from posting
Big kid with a good motor. Welcome addition to the team. Napier obviously is making the offensive line a focal point. 3 of 6 commits so far.
After hearing Soderquist’s interview of current Gator David Conner talk about the attention the O-line is getting, not just from the 2 coaches, but the respective “analysts”, it’s easy to see why o-line recruits might be interested.
I think that attention is long overdue and am glad to see a focus on both mass AND movement, frankly. Without an SEC competitive O-line, which we haven’t fully attained in some time, all those talented RBs and a hot QB are like a full 6-pack missing the plastic thingy that holds them all together. Good start so far, so now develop them! I don’t give a flip about some expert’s rating or some troll’s fascination with star ratings at this time….the focus right now is where it belongs.
