Florida cornerback Jalen Tabor is known as being one of the best defensive backs in the country. His first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American honors speak to that.

According to Thomas Goldkamp of 247 Sports, during a Facebook Live interview on Tuesday on Florida’s official football page, Tabor was asked by a fan about which receiver he is most looking forward to matching up against.

“I wouldn’t say I’m looking forward to it, but I’m just really looking forward to showing LSU’s Malachi Dupre what I’m really about,” Tabor said. “I don’t think he’s the best receiver, but I’ve been hearing some things he’s been saying through the grapevine.”

There is obviously some bad blood there, and people don’t have to look too far back in time to see who got the latest laugh. In the last matchup between the Gators and Tigers, Dupre caught four passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns.

From what Tabor hears, it isn’t just about redemption. Dupre hasn’t been silent, either.

“I’ve got a friend on LSU, and I guess there’s a mutual friend,” Tabor said. “He’s telling me what (Dupre) says about stuff. I can’t wait to show him what I’m really about.”

We’ll see who gets the newest laugh between the two juniors when LSU travels to face Florida on Oct. 8.
