Urban Meyer certainly knows what it takes to put up big offensive numbers against Georgia in Jacksonville.

That may be one of the reasons he named Dan Mullen and offensive coordinator Brian Johnson among his national coaches of the week following the Gators’ 44-28 win last week.

Meyer noted that the Gators rang up 571 yards in the win, and how QB Kyle Trask has thrown for at least four passing touchdowns in every game this season.

It was Mullen’s first win in the rivalry, as No. 6 Florida’s win over 12th-ranked Georgia last week could prevent the Bulldogs from reaching the title game in Atlanta for the first time in four seasons.

Trask completed 30 of 43 passes for a career-high 474 yards, which was eight yards shy of Tim Tebow’s single-game school record even though he missed standout tight end Kyle Pitts for much of the game. Pitts was knocked out of the game in the second quarter on Lewis Cine’s bone-crushing hit over the middle.

Florida returns to action this week against former Gators QB Feleipe Franks and Arkansas.
