It is the first game week of college football in 2017, and two coaches are already taking shots at each other.

Florida and Michigan are set to square off Saturday as part of the 2017 AdvoCare Classic in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium — home of the Dallas Cowboys — and their head coaches took the time to get in a couple of jabs on Monday.

Florida’s Jim McElwain got the ball rolling with a shot at Jim Harbaugh’s methods and coaching style at Michigan.

Gator Country’s Nick de la Torre shared the comment on Twitter:

McElwain has yet to name a starting QB heading into Saturday’s match-up, and Harbaugh has certainly noticed. Harbaugh took a shot at McElwain’s decision to not announce a starter ahead of the game.

Angelique with The Detroit News tweeted Harbaugh’s comments on Monday:

It’s worth noting that Harbaugh has also refused to put out so much as an official Michigan roster at this point.

The two have met in the past with Harbaugh’s Wolverines taking the 2016 Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl by a score of 41-7.

Tensions are already building for this season’s matchup, and the exchange on Monday will certainly add fuel to the fire. Fans will be in store for a fiery game come Saturday.

It appears the Michigan coach is ready for gameday:
