2015 TaxSlayer Bowl
The Tennessee Volunteers (7-6, 3-5 SEC) defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes (7-6, 4-4 Big Ten) 45-28 in the 2015 TaxSlayer Bowl. The Vols captured their first postseason win since 2008 and made their first bowl appearance since 2010.
Quarterback Joshua Dobbs recorded 205 total yards (129 passing, 76 rushing) and three touchdowns (one passing, two rushing). The sophomore averaged a 76.2 completion percentage on 16-of-21 passing.
Running back Jalen Hurd rushed for a team-best 122 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. The true freshman averaged 7.6 yards per carry.
