2014 Nicholls State vs Arkansas

In what turned out to be a record-setting day for the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Hogs were able to snap their 10-game losing streak with a blowout victory over Nicholls State.

Quarterback Brandon Allen only completed four passes against the Colonels, but all four completions went for touchdowns. The running backs for Arkansas also had a big day on the ground. Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams led the charge with a combined 278 rushing yards and four touchdowns between the two of them.

It was clear from Arkansas’ first play from scrimmage that it was about to get ugly for Nicholls State. Junior wide receiver Keon Hatcher took a reverse from Allen and ran largely untouched for an 80-yard score.

The Razorbacks set a modern-era points record with the 73-point outing against the Colonels. It was their first win since Sept. 14, 2006.
