A highly sought-after inside linebacker in Georgia’s backyard has shared his final seven schools and it’s no surprise to see the Bulldogs included. Three other SEC teams, however, are also in the mix.

Len’Neth Whitehead, a two-way player for Athens Academy, is rated a 4-star recruit and the No. 8 inside linebacker, No. 21 Georgia product and No. 218 prospect overall on the 247Sports Composite. Whitehead tweeted a graphic listing the following teams as his final seven: Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.

In March, Whitehead participated in a regional edition of “The Opening” competition camp, checking in at 6-1, 230 pounds and registering a 4.80-second 40-yard dash, 4.50-second shuttle and 38.80-inch vertical. He has 16 scholarship offers, with Texas A&M listed as the most recent (May 15, 2019). His 247Sports recruiting timeline shows a Tennessee visit in March for UT’s junior day and an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech in April.
