Brock Bowers joined a Georgia and NFL legend on Saturday. The star tight end collected his 23rd career receiving touchdown on Saturday against the Auburn Tigers. That mark ties Bowers with AJ Green for the 2nd-most career receiving touchdowns in Georgia history.
Green starred for the Bulldogs from 2008-2010. The receiver was drafted in the 1st round of the 2011 NFL Draft and earned 7 Pro Bowl nods in his 12-year career.

The only player with more career receiving TDs for the Bulldogs is Terrence Edwards, who starred at Georgia from 1999-2002, and went on to have a successful career in the Canadian Football League.
On Saturday, Bowers collected 8 catches for 157 yards and 1 TD. Bowers’ 40-yard TD came late in the 4th quarter and ended up being the difference in the game. The Bulldogs ended up staying perfect on the season thanks to Bowers’ big day.
Bowers will have a chance to pass Green next week when the Bulldogs take on the Kentucky Wildcats.
