Chandler Smith, a 4-star wide receiver and one of the fastest players in the class of 2022, has committed to Georgia.

Smith, a recent Florida decommit, also considered Tennessee and Ole Miss.

Smith won state titles in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, while he anchored the 400 relay team that took second at Florida’s 2A state track meet. He is listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, and is the No. 34-rated wide receiver in this class, and the No. 26 player in the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s from Orlando (Mt. Dora) and has a reported 27 offers.

“I’m a dual-sport athlete. So, just being able to run track and play football is a really big part of my recruitment,” Smith told 247Sports. “Everything stood out about Georgia. A very business-based organization, but also there’s a large family aspect to that, too. I really bonded with Coach [Kirby] Smart and Coach [Cortez] Hankton more than I did with the coaches at Tennessee. And that was really a factor just with everything that happened [at Florida]. I wasn’t really sure what the plan was, but Georgia reassured me that they want me and that they speed need on the field.”
