The Georgia Bulldogs are the only elite team in college football for 2021, and there’s a sizable gap (right now) between the Dawgs and Alabama Crimson Tide.

Heading into Saturday’s game against Tennessee, fans and media talking heads were chirping about Tennessee’s ability on offense vs. Georgia defense. Yes, Tennessee has had a big year on offense under Josh Heupel, but it hadn’t faced any defense like it did Saturday.

Georgia blew out the Volunteers 41-17 in Neyland Stadium. QB Stetson Bennett threw for 213 yards and had 2 total touchdowns. Running back James Cook rushed for more than 100 yards and scored 3 total touchdowns.

The Bulldogs are college football’s python that sucks the life out of offenses, and it happened again against the Vols.

Georgia held Tennessee to 17 points points and less than 100 rushing yards.

Following the win over the Vols, social media was buzzing about Georgia’s dominance.
