Cortez Hankton, Georgia’s wide receivers coach, has written a farewell to the Bulldogs as he’s departing for a job at LSU.

Hankton, a former NFL wide receiver, was named pass game coordinator and wide receivers coach ahead of the 2019 season after he served the 2018 season as wide receivers coach. Hankton is a New Orleans, Louisiana native, and previously coached at Dartmouth and Vanderbilt. He was named All-SWAC twice as a Texas Southern wide receiver and played professionally in the NFL (2003-08) and UFL (2009-11).

Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning was the first departure from the on-field staff of the national champions, as he recently became the head coaching job at Oregon but staying on to coach in the College Football Playoff.
