The Georgia Bulldogs have a chance to run it back on Monday in a way that history has shown is incredibly difficult to do on college football’s biggest stage.

After winning the most recent national title game against the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Bulldogs face the TCU Horned Frogs in the CFP national championship. With Alabama looking as shaky as it has over recent history in the past 2 seasons, missing the College Football Playoff entirely in 2022, some have predicted Georgia will be the next dynasty team.

College football analysts Dan Mullen and Joe Tessitore recently weighed in on what they thought another title victory would mean for Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart.

“I think (it would be) huge for him,” Mullen said. “I think that when you look at what he’s done and what they’ve overcome not having had won a championship 1980, to come in and build a program the right way… as a coach it’s not just about the one game.

“He’s using a similar formula to what he was familiar with in Tuscaloosa,” Tessitore said. “A combination of recruiting, developing, intense coaching, relying on good, defensive play, steady quarterback play, the play-action game… running back. The thing is rolling, and it may not be stopping any time soon.”
