D'Andre Swift explains why he was limited against Middle Tennessee
For Georgia fans who watched the Bulldogs’ Week 3 game against Middle Tennessee, star RB D’Andre Swift was noticeably absent.
He played a couple of series early, but sat the rest of the game as the Dawgs cruised to an easy victory.
On Wednesday, Swift spoke to reporters and confirmed that he was dealing with a groin injury during that game, which is why he was very limited:
D’Andre Swift confirmed he was dealing with a nagging groin injury when he was held out of the rest of the Middle Tennessee game two weeks ago. Swift played two series then came out. He said he’s fine now. Carried it 16 times at Missouri.

As noted in the tweet, Swift had 16 carries against Mizzou, which should indicate that he’s back at full strength entering this weekend’s Tennessee game.
We’ll have to see how much work Swift gets against the Vols, but it does seem that the injury was very minor.
