In a matter of hours, two former Bulldogs were both ready to announce where they planned to finish out their college playing careers.

Jaleel Laguins took to Twitter to announce he is headed to Samford to finish up his career. He announced his intentions to leave Kirby Smart’s program back in April. He was a four-star member of UGA’s 2016 signing class, after initially committing to Mark Richt’s program. He later decided to stick with the program following the hiring of Smart but never saw much playing time in Athens.

“Athens will always be a special place for me, but now it’s time to start a new journey,” Laguins said upon his initial decision to transfer. “After careful consideration with coaches and family, I’d like to announce that I will be transferring from The University of Georgia. I am open to all options, and excited to get to work.”

Laguins made the news official of his next destination on Thursday:

The next morning, Chris Barnes announced he was headed to Tennessee-Chattanooga, also known as UTC. Barnes bounced around to both lines of scrimmage in the spring, as the Bulldogs were looking to help with depth on the defensive line by moving the former offensive line signee.

He made his decision to leave Athens in early May. Barnes was also a four-star recruit and a member of the 2016 recruiting class.

“Dawg Nation, You have been with me on my journey and I’m grateful for everything,” Barnes said earlier this month. “Thank you for your support, but after careful consideration and many conversations with my family and coaches I’ve made the decision to transfer from the University of Georgia. I’m grateful for the many lifetime memories I’ve created with my teammates, fans and the Athens community.”

Now he’s head to UTC according to his Facebook page:
