Former Georgia RB Todd Gurley accomplishes feat that hasn't been done since 2011
Back in 2011, Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson scored six touchdowns in his team’s first three games of the season.
That feat hadn’t been accomplished again until Thursday night, when former Georgia RB Todd Gurley scored his sixth touchdown of the young 2017 season for the Los Angeles Rams in their 41-39 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
Gurley had a big night, scoring twice and running for 118 yards on 28 carries to match Johnson’s impressive mark:

Gurley also added five catches for 31 yards and another touchdown as he did everything he could to help his team earn a narrow win.
After a rough year in 2016, both the Rams and Gurley are playing better, currently sporting a 2-1 record.
If Gurley can continue carrying the load offensively, it’s not impossible to think the Rams could earn a postseason berth in the NFC.
