One of the concerns that Georgia had coming into the year was the health of star wide receiver, George Pickens. Pickens played a huge part in the Bulldogs offense last year, but in March he tore his ACL and has been rehabbing it ever since.

Seth Emerson, who covers the Bulldogs for The Athletic, gives this update via Twitter about the progress of Pickens and his injury.

Last year for Georgia, Pickens caught 36 passes for 513 yards and 6 touchdowns. He also averaged about 14. 3 yards per catch.

So far, Kirby Smart’s offense has managed pretty well without him, but it couldn’t hurt just to have that extra insurance on the sideline.
