It’s a good time to be a Georgia Bulldog.

The Bulldogs capped off an impressive regular season with a satisfying win over in-state rival Georgia Tech. The ‘Dawgs came into the matchup and hit the ground running. Georgia carried a 17-7 lead into halftime and shutout the Yellow Jackets in the second half of a 38-7 win.

The win pushes the team to 11-1 in Kirby Smart’s second season with the Bulldogs. It was a good tune up performance as Georgia now gets set for the SEC Championship Game.

The Bulldogs limited Georgia Tech to 226 total yards of offense with the triple-option attack managing just 188 yards rushing. On the other side of the ball, Georgia racked up 471 yards of total offense with QB Jake Fromm throwing for 224 yards and 2 TDs.

It was a great win for the team, and Smart selected eight players for Player of the Week honors for their performance:

Georgia will take on No. 2 Auburn Saturday in the SEC Championship. Kickoff is set for 4 pm EST on CBS.
