Georgia on Saturday secured passage to the SEC Championship Game with a 45-19 win over Mississippi State in Starkville. The Bulldogs clinched their 5th SEC East title in 6 seasons and will be looking for their 1st victory in the conference championship game since 2017.

The Dawgs announced their players of the game on Monday, with Kearis Jackson, Ladd McConkey, and Darnell Washington all receiving nods offensively. McConkey made 5 catches for 71 yards and a touchdown while taking a jet sweep 70 yards to the house. Jackson was good for 69 yards on 4 catches, while Washington totaled 5 grabs for 60 yards and a score.

Georgia’s defensive players of the game were Jalen Carter and Kamari Lassiter. Carter continued his terrific season with 7 total tackles, including a sack and 1.5 tackles for a loss as Mississippi State was held to less than 50 yards rushing. Lassiter, meanwhile, had a tackle for a loss of his own along with a pass defensed. Finally, Cash Jones and Malaki Starks received special teams honors.

The Bulldogs host Kentucky on Nov. 19 to wrap up their SEC regular-season slate.
