While it was not a surprise, Georgia’s offensive line took a second hit Tuesday afternoon when right tackle Isaiah Wilson announced that he plans to leave for the NFL Draft.

Wilson made the announcement on Instagram and Twitter, and he thanked teammates, coaches and the fans, and called Georgia “home, and it will always be a second home to me. I’ve been able to grow and mature in my football development and also as a young man.”

He missed some time early this past season with an injury, but returned against Notre Dame. He was named a second-team all-SEC pick from the Associated Press. Wilson was the co-winner of Offensive “Up Front” Award, which was given at team’s post-season awards gala.

He started 10 of the 11 games he played in.

At 6-foot-7 and 340 pounds, the Brooklyn, New York native is sure to draw attention for his measurables alone leading up to the NFL Combine and Draft.

Wilson’s decision follows a similar announcement from Andrew Thomas, who said he wouldn’t play in the Sugar Bowl and he also declared for the NFL. Wilson hasn’t said if he would play in the Sugar Bowl.
