The Georgia Bulldogs crushed coach Steve Spurrier’s South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday, but how did the 32-point victory impact their ranking in the polls on Sunday?

Losses by Alabama and and USC provided an opportunity to move up in the polls this week, and the Bulldogs were looked upon more favorably by one poll than the other after the 52-20 win.

Georgia moved up two spots in the Amway Coaches Poll, jumping from No. 8 to the N0. 6 spot. While they passed both Alabama and USC here, they were surpassed by Ole Miss. Luckily, Florida State did not impress voters in a 14-0 win against Boston College on Friday, giving the Bulldogs a chance to move up another spot.

The Bulldogs did not receive a similar boost in the latest Associated Press Top 25, remaining at the No. 7 spot. While Georgia passed both USC and Alabama in this poll as well, the Bulldogs were passed by Ole Miss and Notre Dame in this poll.

The Bulldogs will look to move to 4-0 on the season when they host Southern University at Sanford Stadium on Saturday.
