George Pickens has joined JT Daniels as Georgia players to test positive for COVID-19, according to UGASports.com.

Pickens, who is returning from an ACL injury and made his first catch of the season against Georgia Tech, is currently under COVID protocols. Daniels’ positive test was reported by multiple media outlets on Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs (12-1) take on Michigan in the College Football Playoff at the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31. In Georgia’s SEC Championship loss to Alabama, he caught 2 passes for 41 yards.

The Hoover, Ala. native suffered an ACL tear in March, but slowly worked his way back to the team and played in his first game against Georgia Tech.

Georgia is the only SEC program dealing with virus issues. Texas A&M is facing an outbreak among multiple players ahead of their Gator Bowl matchup against Wake Forest on Dec. 31, with the program putting a pause on football operations since Saturday as a result. Alabama has also returned to 2020 policies for meetings in the facility.
