It’s a battle to determine the SEC East and a possible CFP berth as No. 3 Georgia takes on No. 1 Tennessee this Saturday, and Georgia players will be carrying a bit of history with them.

In tribute to Georgia coaching legend Vince Dooley who passed away last month, Georgia team members will wear a patch on their left chest that reads “In Memory 1932-2022” with the famous coaches signature. The school announced the patches on Friday, along with a video on Twitter.

The school previously announced that in tribute to Dooley, the coach’s signature would be painted along the sideline in Sanford Stadium. The Bulldogs also honored another legendary Bulldog, Charley Trippi, in the same manor. Trippi passed shortly before Dooley in October.

Dooley served the University of Georgia as head coach for 25 years, winning six SEC titles, and a national championship in 1980. The head coach amassed an overall record of 201-77-10 as head coach. Dooley was named SEC Coach of the Year four times in 1966, 1968, 1976 and unanimous win in 1980.
