Georgia upsets No. 9 Memphis on the road, does something it hasn't done since 2004
The Georgia Bulldogs have showed signs of improvement this year, but they went through almost all of conference play without getting that signature victory.
That changed on Saturday. As most SEC teams were starting conference action, the Dawgs went up to Memphis to take on the No. 9 Tigers.
And, behind a 15-point, 12-rebound double-double from Rayshaun Hammonds, the Bulldogs pulled off the 65-62 upset. Freshman guard Anthony Edwards finished with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the victory.
How big was this win? Well, it was Georgia’s first road win over a top-10 team since the 2004 season:
Georgia's 65-62 win at No. 9 Memphis is the program's first road win over an AP Top 10 team since 2004. Signature win for second-year coach Tom Crean.

Now, the Bulldogs will try for another huge win to start SEC play on Tuesday night. That night, No. 17 Kentucky comes to town.
That will be a tough game for the Dawgs, but this team has lots of momentum at the moment.
