One of the biggest stories of the offseason was Demetris Robertson announcing plans to transfer from Cal to Georgia and being granted immediate eligibility.

While Robertson’s redshirt sophomore season did not produce as many highlights as some expected, it did serve as a learning experience as he it was a transition for him in more ways than one.

Not only was Robertson learning a new playbook, but he also had to become acclimated to Jim Chaney’s system after playing in a spread at Berkley. There was also the adjustment of going from facing Pac-12 defenders to the SEC’s finest, something he touched on in a recent interview with Dawgs247.

“I feel like it’s more intense,” Robertson said of moving to the SEC. “The level of players is very different, more physicality as well. The offense is different. I had to learn a new offense.”
