Previously ranked ninth, Georgia leap two spots to No. 7 after overcoming a sluggish start in Nashville.

The Bulldogs picked off Vanderbilt quarterback Johnny McCrary three times in Saturday’s win, including one that was returned 88 yards for a touchdown late in the fourth by Dominick Sanders.

Linebacker Jordan Jenkins picked up two of the Bulldogs’ three sacks.

“Just to get out of a game like this with a victory and still be able to learn from it will be very valuable to us, and that’ll be our goal,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said.
