Georgia must now wait.

The Bulldogs completed their SEC season last week with a blowout victory over Auburn and must now wait and see if Missouri falters in one of its last two games. Georgia’s matchup this weekend against Charleston Southern should be no more than a tune-up game.

Let’s take a look at Georgia’s best and worst numbers.

The Good

3: 1,000-yard rushers in the SEC. True freshman Nick Chubb slides back into his starting role with the news of Todd Gurley’s injury. Despite only starting four games, he’s one of just three 1,000-yard rushers in the SEC.

42.1: points per game. Georgia’s high-scoring offense is the most potent in the SEC this season. The second-best team, Mississippi State scores just 37.1 points per game.

17.85: yards per reception. UGA’s wide receivers had a slow start to the season, but Chris Conley has come on strong in recent weeks and is fourth in the SEC with 17.85 yards per reception.

The Bad

3: No more Gurley this season. UGA’s star running back suffered a torn ACL in the latter portions of the game against Auburn. He’ll be out for the rest of the season and his UGA career is likely over.

1: One loss from Missouri. Georgia doesn’t control its own destiny in the SEC East and will need outside help to make it to Atlanta. UGA fans will ironically be cheering for Rocky Top this weekend.

9: combined losses from South Carolina and Florida on the season. UGA is currently a top-10 team despite two losses to disappointing teams. With how good the Bulldogs have been playing this season, it can only lead UGA fans to wonder where the ‘Dawgs would be if they didn’t suffer those two upsets.
