Isaac Nauta is a key part of Georgia’s offense as a tight end — both as a blocker and a pass catcher.

This weekend, in Jacksonville, Nauta will be extra motivated to pick up a win, because it’s a game against a Florida team that he’s hated since high school.

Nauta, who lived in Georgia before attending IMG Academy at the end of his high school career, said he became a Florida State fan at IMG simply because there were so many Gator fans there (via 247Sports):

“To be honest with you, when I first moved to Jacksonville, I became a Florida State fan because I got put in a class that was full of Florida fans and I wanted to be different,” Nauta said with a smile. “That’s kind of how that started. Ever since then, it’s kind of been that way.”

Nauta is back to his Georgia roots, though, and after blowing out the Gators 42-7 last season, he will be eager to improve that record against UF to 2-0.
