Jordan Davis defends teammate after video of him dominating practice rep goes viral

There was a video that recently went viral of former Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle Jordan Davis dominating offensive lineman Cam Jurgens during Philadelphia Eagles training camp.
Of course, when these things happen, the player on the winning side garners a ton of hype while the other gets slammed. Well, that’s exactly what happened to Jurgens. And Davis isn’t particularly happy the video became so widespread because he doesn’t feel that it really tells the full story of what happened.
“I always say that looks can be deceiving, so… one rep goes viral,” he said. “But Cam has been holding his own. He’s a very good player and it’s just good competition. It’s iron on iron. So you see the background of everything, but don’t let the hype get to you.”
This shows a lot of maturity on Davis’s end and is reflective of how strong he is as a teammate and a locker room presence as well. Davis finished out last season with 32 total tackles (17 solo), two sacks and one pass defended in the midst of Georgia’s national championship season.
Expect him to continue to be a force at the NFL level.
“I hate it, honestly… You see one rep, but you don’t see Cam getting me in another rep”
