After losing Javon Wims this offseason, the Georgia Bulldogs are counting on WR Terry Godwin to step up and be even better in 2018.

However, the Bulldogs were without Godwin during Thursday’s practice, and coach Kirby Smart discussed the ailment to the star receiver before practice.

According to Smart, the injury is nothing serious — just an issue he’s dealing with regarding his left knee (via 247Sports):

“Terry Godwin has a little bit of a minor issue with his left knee,” Smart said. It’s small. He’ll be limited but I know you guys will make a big deal out of it. Every one of you is sending out a message about it right now, but he’s fine. He just won’t be able to do (individual) and some things today. We’re going to hold him out of that.”

There’s still plenty of time for Godwin to get back to 100 percent before the season starts, obviously, so the Bulldogs shouldn’t be too worried yet.

Still, it’s never good when a key player misses reps during fall practices.
