Georgia head coach Kirby Smart took the floor during Monday’s SEC teleconference with plenty to discuss, including injuries to two key players.

Trent Thompson update:
“Trenton has done a great job rehabbing his shoulder. He can move better than he did before. He is not enrolled in May school, He’ll be back for summer school.”

Smart on Dom Sanders:
“He’ll be back this summer, should be good to go…

Why was he out?
“Medical issue.”

On recruiting QBs in 2018, how do you go about it?
“Obviously we only have 2 scholarship QBs now. There’s opportunity there. When they arrive Jake (Eason) will be in his junior season.”

On early signing period:
“I’m interested to see how it plays out, want to see the unintended consequences of it. It will be interesting to see who handles it best.”

On Nick Chubb:
“He comes out, gives a full days work. Even on special teams. When you have a guy of that caliber on special teams, it sets the tone for the rest of the team, which is what you want as a coach.”
