Under a week away from the Peach Bowl, Georgia’s availability for Jan. 1 against Cincinnati is starting to take shape.

During a Saturday media session, Smart shared availability updates on multiple players, including some key contributors.

Junior defensive back Eric Stokes is out. On Thursday, AL.com’s Matt Zenitz reported that Stokes had declared for the NFL Draft and signed with an agent, ending his NCAA eligibility. Smart shared that Monty Rice, Ben Cleveland, Tre McKitty are out for the game due to a mix of injuries and getting ready for the Senior Bowl. Trey Hill is also out after having knee surgery.

On the plus site, Smart said that Azeez Ojulari and Mark Webb will both play. Richard LeCounte, who has not played since his October wreck, is going to try to play.

In addition to injury and opt-out absences, Georgia could miss others due to COVID.

“Our numbers have gone up over the past 2-3 weeks,” Smart said.

The Peach Bowl is set for noon ET on ESPN, Friday, Jan. 1.
