Will JT Daniels be available for Georgia as it takes on South Carolina on Saturday at Sanford Stadium?

Stetson Bennett IV did a more than admirable job starting in place of Daniels as he was out due to an oblique injury. So, if Daniels can’t play against the Gamecocks, fans certainly have to feel good no matter who is taking the snaps.

That said, Kirby Smart isn’t about to reveal who he’ll start on Saturday and probably for good reason. He did provide an update on Daniels, saying that the junior was improving.

“I don’t know he’s 100 percent, but he’s certainly getting closer to that,” Smart said on Tuesday, according to Marc Weiszer.

Smart also announced that Bennett was dealing with a lower back issue. If both Bennett and Daniels are unable to go for any reason, then Carson Beck would be in line for his 1st career start. It appeared as if the redshirt freshman would get the call against UAB on Sept. 11 before Smart opted to go with Bennett in the end.

The Bulldogs and Gamecocks kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
