Tennessee travels to Georgia on Saturday for what will be the game of the year in college football, at least to this point in the season.

Both teams are 8-0, with the Bulldogs currently ranked No. 1 in the AP Top 25 and the Volunteers tied for 2nd with Ohio State.

Adding to the intrigue will be the initial release of the College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday night at 7 p.m. (ET) on ESPN.

Make no mistake about; it’s a big game.

Need more evidence?

How about the fact that Georgia coach Kirby Smart took to Twitter on Sunday evening to let the Bulldog faithful know that they’ll be needed Saturday.

“Saturday we need Dawg Nation to affect the game!!,” Smart tweeted. “If you can talk when you leave, you didn’t yell enough!!”

It would be fair to call this tweet from Smart unusual. A quick scroll through his Twitter feed would indicate that he usually makes tweets related to recruiting news or academic achievement.

As stated above, however, this is a big game.

The Bulldogs’ matchup Saturday with the Volunteers is set for 3:30 p.m. (ET). The game will be televised by CBS, and Georgia has opened as a 9-point favorite.
