Entering the 2019 season, Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa and Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence are considered the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy.

However, when it comes to betting, they aren’t exactly great value bets to win. So, who fits the bill as a guy with longer odds who could win the trophy?

On “The Daily Wager,” ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit said that, at 20/1 in a lot of places, Georgia QB Jake Fromm is a good value bet this fall:

“I think Georgia has a chance to have a magical year,” Herbstreit said. “Arguably the best leader in the country is Jake Fromm, the quarterback at Georgia. I know he hasn’t put up big numbers up to this point in his career, but I do think that his steady hand and his leadership and Georgia winning week after week after week, don’t be shocked if you get to November and Jake Fromm is a name a lot of people will be talking about.”

Last year, Fromm threw for 2,761 yards, 30 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2018. If he makes a jump this fall, he could certainly make it to New York for the Heisman ceremony.
