If you watched Georgia’s win over Vanderbilt and are able to separate the Bulldogs’ rushing success offensively from the passing attack, you’ll understand the questions concerning quarterback Greyson Lambert.

Lambert was average at best against the Commodores — 11-of-21, 116 yards — and missed a couple open receivers on throws he’d like to have back.

Heading into Saturday’s game against South Carolina (6 p.m., ESPN), offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is confident in his QB1 and says there’s no depth chart change, but expects Brice Ramsey to play.

Ramsey played one second-quarter series in Nashville and could be utilized in similar fashion Saturday against the Gamecocks, or more if Lambert struggles.

“We’re not panicking,” Schottenheimer said Wednesday, according to DawgNation. “The (Vanderbilt) game’s behind us. We didn’t play very well offensively, especially in the passing game. But we found a way to win. I think that’s a positive. We’ve moved on, we’re getting ready for South Carolina, which is gonna be another challenge. Another group that’s gonna load the box. We know that.”

Lambert beat out Ramsey and Faton Bauta for the job during fall camp, much of the reason Georgia’s staff is sticking with him through two weeks.

The Virginia transfer threw two touchdown passes in the season opener against Louisiana-Monroe.

“We don’t want anybody looking over their shoulder,” Schottenheimer said Wednesday. “Greyson doesn’t have to go out there and play great or else. Because whether he plays great or not we’re probably gonna play the other guys a little bit.”
