Mark Richt’s first season at Georgia in 2001 finished 8-4 overall and 5-3 in the SEC, including a fourth-place finish in the East. As the first Kirby Smart staff is now settled, we take a look back at the Georgia coaching staff the last time there was a head coaching change.

The coaches on Richt’s staff that season have landed jobs from high school to the NFL, and three have taken other jobs in the SEC.

Most stayed in coaching and continue to do something similar to their job at Georgia. Others have taken a career path out of the public eye. One graduate assistant has landed multiple NFL jobs, while another pursued a career in the banking industry.
