The kick-off of bowl season in college football got off to a spectacular start in the Bahamas Bowl when Toledo wide receiver and Georgia transfer wide receiver Matt Landers caught an 89-yard touchdown pass against Middle Tennessee State.

Landers has been a nice addition to the Toledo offense this season. He’s caught 16 passes for 377 yards and 4 touchdowns.

So far in this game, Landers has 2 receptions for 111 yards and of course that long touchdown catch just before halftime.

He is averaging so far in this game 55.5 yards per catch. If he continues on this pace in the second half of this contest, he might end up with nearly 300 yards receiving on the day.
