Georgia is certainly happy to have a healthy Nick Chubb this weekend when it plays Tennessee.

The Bulldogs RB suffered a devastating knee injury on the first play from scrimmage when Georgia last visited Tennessee in 2015. Chubb returned from his knee injury last season, but he was severly limited in the 2016 matchup with the Volunteers due to an ankle injury.

Now, Chubb is healthy and making his first appearance in Knoxville since that knee injury. When asked if he’s looking forward to returning, Chubb did not hesitate.

“Yeah, I’m ready for it,” said Chubb with a smile. He also noted he hopes to playing longer than the last visit.

Chubb sees being able to return to Knoxville this season fully healthy as a “blessing.”

“It’s just a blessing,” said Chubb. “Last time I went up there, all that happened, just a blessing to be able to go up there able to run and play like I always have. I’m just looking forward to it.”

The Volunteers have won the last two matchups against Georgia. A healthy Chubb could prove to be the difference maker for the No. 7 Bulldogs this weekend.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST on CBS.
