One of Georgia’s top 2019 commits — 4-star OLB Rian Davis out of Florida — will miss the rest of his senior season.

According to 247Sports, Davis suffered a torn ACL last week and will be out for the rest of his team’s 2018 campaign.

Fortunately for Davis, his spot in the Georgia 2019 class is still secure. In fact, he said, Georgia coaches want him to enroll early now, presumably so their training staff can work with him as he rehabs:

“They still want me,” Davis said. “They want me to enroll early now.”

According to the 247Sports composite, Davis is the No. 4 outside linebacker in the class of 2019 and the No. 9 overall recruit from the state of Florida.

If Davis does enroll early, it’ll be interesting to see if he is ready to go for spring practices. If not, he’ll probably be ready to roll by the time fall camp starts up.
