Georgia wants to make sure running backs coach Dell McGee is happy in Athens.

The Bulldogs have bumped McGee up to $350,000, a $75,000 raise, for two more seasons according to a report by Dawg Nation. McGee, who joined the staff for Kirby Smart’s first season, is UGA’s primary recruiter for two of its most sought-after prospects, 5-star QB Justin Fields and 5-star RB Zamir White.

White’s high school coach Richard Bailey recently had high praise for McGee in his recruitment of the talented running back.

“It does start with (UGA running backs coach) Dell McGee,” Bailey said on a podcast. “He has done a great job recruiting Zamir. He has been, practically, as much as he is legally allowed to come to our school, he is there. He has been committed to building a relationship, not only with me but with Zamir… They do have a history of running the football and I think they are trending up. When things are going good at Georgia, it is a great place to play. It is not too, too far away from home. It is away from home, but not too far away from home.”

McGee was an analyst at Auburn in 2013 and previously coached at Georgia Southern.
